Hey readers how is everyone doing? Hopefully it’s good, it’s getting that time for 8th graders to decide where they would like to attend high school. My best advice is not to stress out and put too much pressure on yourself because then it won’t make the decision and your high school career much fun.
UC is starting to get more involved in the community and trying to help out people in need. A couple of days ago 7 UC students including myself traveled to the Center for Hope Hospice located on Terrill Road in Scotch Plains. We traveled to another center to help stuff bags for one of their meetings that were coming up. It felt good to help people that were in need. It’s hard for people to know that they are dying, but at the same time still have fun with the rest of the days that they are living out. Sometimes we seem to forget about our elderly people. Doing this I know that these people who might be in a lot of pain and discomfort were happy because they knew that we were trying to help them. These people need our love to feel like they are welcome in this world and that just because they are leaving this Earth, they shouldn’t be shut out from living a great life until the very end. It is important for everyone to volunteer in community service. Just think if everyone donated one hour a week think of how much more work we could get done and how happy everyone that is in need would be. UC is giving a great chance to it’s student’s by developing this program which allows the students to volunteer on their own time. Just remember that there is a place for everyone to help and it would be greatly appreciated by everyone who you help.
